The teachers have planned topics of interest to this age group. The following topics for 2014 include books, discussion, pictures, art projects, related field trips, cooking experiences and games. 2014 topics are:”Gnomes, Fairies, Elves & Other Wee Folk”, “Water, Water Everywhere (pond, river & ocean life)”, “America the Beautiful (highlights of our National Park System)”, “The Wild West (cowboys, ranchers & Plains Indians)”, “Pirates & Hidden Treasure” and “Sports Extravaganza (learning new games and practicing our favorites)”. The endangered species to be examined are the American Bald Eagle and whales. Children of this age display concern about endangered species and offer astute suggestions about how we can save them.
We are fortunate to have two acres of playgrounds which affords many options of outdoor play. We have basketball goals, tether ball, soccer and four-square. We are also fortunate to have many full size shade trees on our playgrounds which keep us comfortable during the hot summer months. We also create several special fun days such as our Hawaiian Luau, Western cookout, Beach party days, Wacky Kid Olympics and our own carnival.
Join us! We plan to have a fun summer!
