2019 School Age Summer Program K-5
11 weeks May 29th through Aug. 12th.
Enrolling now for school age summer program K-5. Limited openings. Minimum enrollment 6 weeks. Enrollment may be consecutive or non consecutive weeks.
Also offering Before/After School Program for summer school. Transportation provided to Mill Creek, Rock Bridge and Beulah Ralph elementary schools. If summer school is offered at Ridgeway Elementary, transportation is provided to that school through the Columbia Public School District.
Two swim sessions are offered as well as numerous fun and interesting field trips throughout the summer. Swim Sessions are offered through Columbia Parks and Recreation Dept. and are held at the Hickman High School indoor pool. Certified Instructors and lifeguards provide a stimulating lesson environment.
Session I: June 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27
Session II: July 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 18, 19
There are very limited openings in the swim sessions. Please enroll as soon as possible.
The teachers have planned topics of interest to this age group. The following topics for 2019 will include books, discussion, pictures, art projects, related field trips, cooking experiences and games associated with each week’s topic. 2019 topics include: Dragons; Masks of the World; Farms and Gardens; Sailing Ships, Pirates & Treasure; Mermaids; Super Heroes; Westward Ho; Pets and Vets; Space Adventures; Life In A Pond; Robots; and Friendship.
We are fortunate to have two acres of playgrounds which affords many options of outdoor play. We have basketball goals, tether ball, soccer and four-square. We are also fortunate to have many full sized shade trees on our playgrounds which keep us comfortable during the hot summer months. We also create several special fun days such as our Hawaiian Luau, Western cookout, Beach Party days, and our own Carnival.
